Organization Purpose And
Statement:
As many Native Americans dwell in the State of Ohio away from their
various Reservations and homelands which are the natural source of cultural indentities, the purpose of the American Indian
Intertribal Association is to preserve all tribal cultures by promoting education among American Indians through networking
with supportive relationships and role models and creating greater awareness in the community.
Our primary emphasis is to put on and organizing traditional Powwows,
programs and educational presentations, priding culturally sensitive awareness in drug and alcohol prevention and participating
in other cultural events within the Community as well as train through workshops and seminars.
Our goals are also to educate the general public of our
cultural traditions, the desecration of Indian burial grounds and the exploitation of Sacred Ceremonies and cultural identities
and to continue workshops in the schools and with local community organizations and to maintain open contact with social service
agencies and participate in the communities.
